SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SEIEC) is a member-owned, not-for-profit, electric distribution Cooperative headquartered in Carrier Mills, Illinois. SEIEC provides service to 10 counties in southeastern Illinois serving over 24,000 accounts. Due to a retirement, SEIEC has an immediate opening for Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer and is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The position is responsible for the accounting and financial functions of the organization, including maintaining the books of account, financial statement and report preparation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, tax, debt, regulatory accounting, plant/construction, payroll, budgeting and financial forecasting. Ensures the timely completion of required internal and external reporting requirements. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar related field (Master’s Degree and CPA or CMA License is preferred), minimum of 5 years of extensive, diverse, progressive and relevant experience is required (electric utility experience is preferred), strong understanding of GAAP and FASB accounting principles, exceptional knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods, excellent written and verbal communication skills along with outstanding presentation skillsSEIEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
