Assistant Director of Student Accounts

The Assistant Director of Student Accounts reports to the Director of Student Accounts and assists with all accounts receivable functions. Works closely with the Registrars Office, Financial Aid, Housing, and the Admissions Offices to ensure proper and accurate billing of students, assists with preparation of 1098Ts, and assists in month-end and fiscal-end closings. Works closely with collection agency on delinquent accounts. Performs any other duties within the scope of this position.

Qualifications Required Experience/Skills:

Professional experience and knowledge of billing procedures, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Possess a strong customer service focus
Be detailed oriented, flexible, and can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Possess problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format.
Possess computer literacy including Excel, Word and Programming.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a concentration in accounting or business administration and experience in accounting or finance preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
