Accountant

The Missouri Development Finance Board, a public organization administering a diverse array of business and governmental financing programs, is seeking a full-time Accountant. The Accountant is responsible for assisting the Controller in maintaining the Board's financial operations, daily activities, and completing various accounting functions and analysis as assigned. This position consists of 40 hours per week of financial management and analysis, reporting, G/L entries, payment of invoices, recording of receivables, financial reporting compliance support, and working with State and external auditors. This position requires independent work and sound decision making. Applicant must be highly organized, responsive to deadlines, and complete complex functions and reports with good documentation. Requirements include a B.S. in Accounting or closely related field. Experience of five or more years may substitute for the education requirements if work involved bookkeeping functions as well as the preparation of financial statements. Annual minimum salary of $55,000, commensurate with experience, along with extensive benefits.
