Position Title: Member Revenue Specialist I or II (Extends 5/23/22 Posting) Department/Location: Asset Management, Resource Planning & Rates; Bismarck, ND Company: Basin Electric Power Cooperative Position Purpose: Member Revenue Specialist I - This position, with assistance, implements the procurement, and validation of power measurement data directly and indirectly with problem-solving skills related to Basin Electric’s generation and transmission service assets and member load. This position is responsible to implement the demand and energy unit billing determinants for the monthly Class A Member revenue determination, Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) load and generation data. The position implements the member billing process, through the assistance and close supervision of the manager, to determine the Class A Member Rate components and member contract arrangements. In addition, this position assists in the support needed for upstream and downstream business groups. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may involve physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber-related assets or systems.

Member Revenue Specialist II - The position oversees, with minimal supervision, assistance and guidance for the procurement, technical analysis, interpretation, and validation of power measurement data directly and indirectly with problem-solving skills related to Basin Electric’s generation and transmission service assets and Member load. This position is responsible to develop the demand and energy unit billing determinants for the monthly Class A Member revenue determination, Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) load and generation data. This position oversees the member billing process through the creative implementation and problem-solving skills of Class A Member Rate components and member contract arrangements. In addition, the position oversees the support needed, for upstream and downstream business groups. Qualifications: Member Revenue Specialist I - To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have minimal understanding of the electrical power supply industry, generation operation, and electrical metering industry, which is acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business, accounting, an Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited engineering program or a related field, and two years of related experience in accounting or business. The ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills is required. The incumbent must also be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Member Revenue Specialist II - To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have an in-depth understanding of the electrical power supply industry, generation operation, and electrical metering industry, which is acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business, accounting, an Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited engineering program or a related field, and four years of related experience in accounting or business. The ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills is required. The incumbent must also be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: This position requires frequent sitting and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines.
